Fall Protection and Ladder Safety

Slips, Trips and Falls account for a large percentage of workplace injuries and fatalities in the manufacturing sector. Wet surfaces are the top hazard contributing to ground level injuries. Working from height is obviously a hazardous aspect of our manufacturing duties and special care must be taken to take time and use appropriate PPE when working above the ground. Falls are unforgiving of carelessness and resulting injuries are often prolonged and painful. The introductory video produced by the feed industry, highlights fall protection priorities and covers ladder safety. The presentation following and quiz below should help remind us all of the importance of watching our step and taking our time especially when working high above the ground. Take care.
